Plugable DC-125 USB 2.0 Docking Client for Connecting External VGA Monitor, Speakers, Microphone, USB Keyboard, and USB Mouse (DisplayLink DL-125 Chip) Overview
USB 2.0 Universal Docking Client. Connect one to use as a universal laptop docking station, enabling an additional full-sized monitor, speakers, keyboard, and mouse over a single USB connection to any brand of laptop. Connect many DC-125 units to a server to enable many users to share one machine (requires compatible multiseat OS software such as Windows Multiseat Server 2011 or Userful Multiseat Linux 2011, not included).
Connectivity and Technology
A single USB 2.0 cable between PC and dock carries all data and power (for easy USB dock/undock). Standard female VGA/D-Sub port from docking station to monitor drives modes up to 1280x1024 / 1440x900 on any monitor, using internal DisplayLink DL-125 chipset and software drivers provided by DisplayLink. Standard 3.5mm audio in and out for stereo speakers and microphone, using internal C-Media CM6300 chipset and standard USB audio class drivers already in the OS. Two additional free USB 2.0 ports have sufficient power for connecting a USB keyboard and USB mouse only (higher power peripherals not supported). USB hub functionality via internal high-performance, low-power Terminus Technology FE 1.1s chipset.
